Helping Children & Young Adults Thrive

Tailored supports that build independence, connection, and purpose

Children & Young Adult Services

Every child and every family is different. We listen first, then work together to build skills, strengthen relationships, and create a safe and stable foundation for the future.

Our goal is simple: strong kids, confident parents, and families that feel connected and supported.

  • Plans built around the family’s needs
  • Support for healthy growth and development
  • Help at home, in school, and in the community
  • Practical skills that last a lifetime

Children & Young Adult Services

Our mental health services provide compassionate, responsive care for children, teens, young adults, and their families. We offer individualized, family, and group counseling, walk-in services for urgent needs, peer support, and skill building that strengthen emotional health and stability, as well as Youth ACT, an intensive community-based treatment option.  Services are flexible and centered on each young person’s goals, recognizing that early, supportive care can reduce stress, prevent crises, and build long-term well-being.

REACH, our youth suicide prevention program, supports young people ages 15–24 and their families across Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Sullivan, and Rockland Counties. Licensed professionals provide risk assessments, safety planning, and connection to therapy, psychiatry, care management, peer support, and other wrap-around services.

The program offers an inclusive space for LGBTQ+ young people and caregivers, confidential telehealth access for those without privacy at home, and evidence-based trainings — including Teen Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Narcan, and QPR — for schools and community partners.

Our intellectual and developmental disabilities services provide early, individualized support that promotes inclusion, growth, and opportunity for children and youth with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We offer educational advocacy and mentoring for students up to age twenty-one, home-based crisis intervention services for children with mental health needs and intellectual or developmental disabilities, assistance and reimbursement for families needing specialized care, and respite services for caregivers.

Healthy Families supports strong beginnings and confident parenting. We offer home visits for expectant parents and families with newborns, providing guidance on child development, safety, health, and parenting skills, and parent support groups in both English and Spanish. Our program encourages parents to achieve personal goals while nurturing their children, offering education, emotional support, and connection during the critical early years.

Family Support helps families caring for children with disabilities or complex health needs by providing guidance, advocacy, and practical assistance. We connect families to programs and community resources, help with financial needs and long-term planning, and offer respite services that give parents a safe break. For families with medically fragile children, we provide extra support with equipment and home care. Our goal is to make sure no family faces these challenges alone.
